BIO:
Zeynep Daşkın is pursuing her Master of Arts in United Nations and Global Policy Studies at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, where she also serves as a Student Ambassador for the UNMA program. She recently graduated from the University of Bologna with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Diplomatic Affairs. During her undergraduate studies, she completed coursework in public international law, political science, economics, and North–South relations, thereby strengthening her academic foundation in global governance and international development. Zeynep has also gained diplomatic experience through her internship at the Embassy of Panama in Ankara, where she supported protocol activities, multilateral engagements, reporting, translation, and cultural initiatives.
Beyond her academic and diplomatic training, Zeynep has held long-standing leadership roles within Rotary International, focusing on community engagement, women’s health, and social advocacy. As President of the Membership & New Members Committee of the Koru Rotary Club in Ankara, she has led integration initiatives, organized seminars on menstrual stigma and women’s rights, and contributed as Editor-in-Chief of the club’s newspaper. She has also been active in volunteer work, including AFAD’s emergency response efforts and animal welfare initiatives. With her background in diplomacy, community leadership, and humanitarian service, Zeynep hopes to pursue a career with an NGO or international organization dedicated to advancing gender equality and protecting women’s rights globally.
