    Michael Curtis, public intellectual and eminent scholar, was born in London and educated at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Mr. Curtis earned his doctorate at Cornell University before settling in Princeton in 1963 when he was appointed to a teaching position at Rutgers University. Professor Curtis held a number of academic honors that include Fellowships, at the Princeton Center of International Studies, its Institute for Advanced Study and the Bellagio, Rockefeller Institute. Besides having been a long term member of the Princeton University political science faculty, he taught as a visiting professor at Hebrew, Bologna, European University Institute, Fiesole, 1989, Tel Aviv Universities. During the 1970s and 1980s Curtis was the spokesperson for the United States Jewish academic community on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict representing the organization, he founded, American Professors for Peace in the Middle East.
