    Jacob Loewenberg Ball is a former journalist whose research focuses on the comparative retrenchment of state-supported rental housing in advanced capitalist democracies. He has a particular interest in racial and ethnic housing inequality and the role of international finance and capital in changes to domestic housing sectors. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in political science, Jacob spent three years working for Ha’aretz Newspaper in Israel and two independent local newspapers in his home state of Michigan.
