In the academic year of 2021-22, Jada Abdulla was selected as a fellow with the Graduate Fellowship Program for Politics and Government with the Eagleton Institute of Politics here at Rutgers University. In the summer of 2022, Jada Abdullah had completed a 6-month internship at Governor Phil Murphy's Office in the Legislative Affairs Department. As an intern, her responsibilities included tracking legislation, attending public legislative committee hearings, participating as a co-host for the Government Systems and Structures Town Hall for Governor Murphy's Youth Engagement Week and working at press conferences concerning Roe v. Wade, gun legislation and mass shootings. Additionally, Jada conducted policy research regarding health disparities and how to mitigate the effects on minorities in New Jersey. Her internship experience led to her being offered a full-time position as a Legislative Aide/Director at Assemblyman Sterley Stanley's Office in East Brunswick.
