Elene Kurtanidze informed us that she moved to the US just to join the UNMA. We assisted her transitioning processes to our program and offered her career consulting and guidance, where she identified ways to meet her career aspirations. She shares one of her experiences with us:
“With numerous career advising, career talks, and constant internship/job opportunity updates, I acquired the necessary knowledge and experience to navigate and further myself into the career I want. Through our program, I had various career-advancing opportunities; still, most existing of them was when I joined and participated in a workshop - Reconsidering John Dewey: Education and the Current Crisis of Democracy in the UN. It was one of the most memorable experiences, firstly because I had the opportunity to present and discuss philosophical and pedagogical approaches to pluralistic, participatory, and communicative democracy and education, for which I garnered attendees praise and attention for my presentation. Secondly, I had the chance to meet and network with leading researchers in Education, Social Sciences, and Philosophy from Germany, the US, and Japan. This experience was a kudos and a great opportunity for my stepping into the field.”
