  • UNMA student and former Military Intelligence Officer Lance Jensen presents “When Diplomacy Fails, and State’s turn to Military Force for Coercive Measures.”

In Professor Hetou’s “Theories of Military and Diplomatic Policy” course, UNMA student, and former Military Intelligence Officer Lance Jensen was invited as a guest lecturer, to present “When Diplomacy Fails, and State’s turn to Military Force for Coercive Measures.” Lance discussed the decision making process for the use of force at the policy-maker level down to the soldiers who implement the policy in conflict zones and the constraints of international law. He pointed out that in international situations the use or threat of military might of a superior force can be rebuked by lesser powers when might is not right.
