  • Arshi Shukla

During Arshi’s Spring 2020 semester, she interned at the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness. She worked with their cyber security and critical threat intelligence analyst team at the Regional Operation Intelligence Center (ROIC) to write daily threat analysis reports. The project involved researching current cyber threats in the United States that target the critical infrastructures. Arshi actively monitored the cyber threats to write security analysis to publish on the NJOHSP and The New Jersey Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Cell (NJCCIC) website. This helped the cyber intelligence team analyze if there is a trend in who is being targeted and who is involved. She also had the opportunity to be a part of the United States Department of Homeland Security’s Surveillance Detection Course for their Law Enforcement and Security Professionals who were in training. It was a great experience and she was able to learn a lot about how the Homeland Security analyze cyber threats.
