Laura Esteban is an M.A candidate in the Political Science- United Nations and Global Policy Studies at Rutgers- New Brunswick. Laura is a proud Scarlet Knight through and through as she also earned her B.A in Political Science and English from Rutgers – New Brunswick in 2022.  

As a graduate student, Laura has been involved in several organizations on campus. Most notably, she is a 2024 Eagleton Graduate Fellow, an Assistant Residence Life Coordinator in Residence Life for Busch Suites, and the Secretary of the Graduate Student Association. Laura has also interned for Governor Murphy’s Policy Team and worked as one of the Teaching Assistants for President Holloway’s class, Citizens, Institutions, and the Public. Post-graduation, Laura will be the Legislative Director for Assemblyman Sterley Stanley.  

Laura’s biggest interests lie in Latin America, education, and immigration and migrant policies. She was born in Colombia and raised in the United States and feels a strong desire to create more opportunities for immigrants, especially Latinos. Her goal, no matter the position, is to improve the lives of others through sound and thoughtful policy decisions.
