Jay Weisbond is an M.A. candidate in the Political Science - United Nations and Global Policy Studies Program at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. His academic interests encompass sustainable development, environmental policy, comparative politics, human rights, global public health, gender equality, and international law, with a particular emphasis on applying these areas to policy and program analysis. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University (FAU). During his undergraduate studies, Jay gained practical experience through internships at New Way Forward Strategies, a political consulting firm, as well as at Politic Nation, a political news media website. Additionally, he served as an Education Abroad Ambassador at FAU's Education Abroad Office following his experiences studying abroad in Madrid, Spain, and Prague, Czechia. During his M.A. program, in 2023, Jay interned at the Office of Assemblyman Sterley Stanley of the 18th Legislative District and also held a position as a Policy and Outreach Intern at the New Jersey League of Conservation Voters (NJLCV).
