Samantha Agtarap is a Master of Arts candidate majoring in Political Science concentrating in United Nations and Global Policy studies. Prior to studying at Rutgers, Samantha served as the East Coast Asian American Marketing and Outreach Director for the 2021 Conference, served as alumni chair for Stockton University’s AAPIH Month planning committee, and was a research assistant for the United Nations Capital Development Fund. As a current political science masters candidate, Samantha is invested in uplifting and empowering marginalized groups through program development and assistance. Likewise, her specialty in United Nations and Global Policy studies have spurred an interest in advocacy and international humanitarian service.
Samantha graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree from Stockton University in 2020 where she majored in Social Work and minored in Childhood Studies. In addition, Samantha has experience serving vulnerable and disadvantaged communities both nationally and internationally as a social worker. Her interests in female empowerment, humanitarian aid, and racial equality have been honed into a commitment to serving all communities. Samantha's commitment in decreasing inequalities has led her to pursue experience and opportunities that would allow her to use her skills to make a positive difference in the world.
