Ryan Prieto is a recent Master’s graduate at the United Nations Master’s program at Rutgers University. Prior to attending Rutgers University he earned a dual degree in International Business and Political Science from the University of South Florida. While at the University of South Florida he got elected and rose to the position of Student Government Grants Committee Chairman, while simultaneously mentoring the next generation of students in business and politics at Thomas E. Weightman Middle School.

While maintaining a 4.0 GPA, he has continued to be involved with improving the lives of children. He currently works for City Year, an AmeriCorps program, where he provides academic and social-emotional support for third-fifth graders at Dutch Kills Elementary School. His service with City Year has made a tremendous impact on his life and he has accepted an offer to come back for a second year of service while finishing his studies.

Upon finishing his studies and service he wants to pursue a career at UNICEF, benefiting all children around the world. His hopes are to be proficient in multiple languages to accomplish that goal. Therefore, upon graduation, if he does not immediately transition into UNICEF, he aspires to serve in South America with the PeaceCorps to continue enhancing his Spanish skills.
