Feminized Corruption: A Looming Unrest in the Future of West Africa’s Politics, a talk by Dr. Sharon Adetutu Omotoso
Presented by the Center for African Studies, Sharon Adetutu Omotoso is a feminist philosopher. Currently at the Institute for Media Studies, Ruhr University, Bochum, Germany as an experienced researcher on the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship, Sharon is an Associate Professor (Gender/Media Studies) at the Institute of African Studies, University of Ibadan, Nigeria, where she heads the Institute’s Women’s Research and Documentation Centre (WORDOC). Her works integrate the transdisciplinary field of Gender Studies into African politics, Philosophy and Media. On these, she serves on editorial boards of scholarly journals and consults for international agencies. Her strength lies in developing new innovative concepts that contribute to debates for scholarship, activism and policy engagement. Sharon is also a Research Associate with Institute for the Future of Knowledge, University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
