- Bio:
Summer Lindsey holds a Ph.D., M.Phil., M.A., and B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University. Prof. Lindsey's work combines experimental approaches with quantitative and qualitative observational work to understand when and how social norms related to violence against women change. She has conducted fieldwork in Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, India and Croatia. Her research focuses on the enduring implications of armed conflict for women’s security which has been supported by the National Science Foundation, United States Institute of Peace, Folke Bernadotte Academy, the Earth Institute, Harriman Institute, and Columbia University Dept. of Political Science. It has been published in American Political Science Review, American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Conflict Resolution, and Perspectives on Politics. She is currently serving as an Associate Editor of the journal, Politics & Gender.
