- Bio:
Jayme R. Schlesinger's research focuses predominantly on questions relating to decision-making and effectiveness in terrorism and counterterrorism campaigns, and conflict studies more broadly. In her dissertation, she utilizes mixed quantitative and qualitative approaches to study democratic responses to terrorism and the role of public opinion in shaping the success or failure of counterterrorism in democratic contexts.
Jayme was a Rutgers University Louis Bevier Fellow for the 2022-2023 academic year and a 2020-2021 Graduate Fellow in the Rutgers University Center for Historical Analysis. Her teaching experience includes courses in Introduction to Western Political Thought, Introduction to International Relations, Introduction to Research Methods in Political Science, and Counterterrorism and Democracy.
