Sanford M. Jaffe, Esq.,is Co-Director of the Center for Negotiation and Conflict Resolution at Rutgers University in New Jersey. As officer in charge of the Government and Law Program at the Ford Foundation, he directed its program in legal education and dispute resolution for a number of years. He is the author of a number of publications in the fields of dispute resolution, public interest law and legal education. He has mediated cases involving large scale public policy issues and has facilitated the resolution of several planning disputes, notably violations of clean air and clean water acts and the location of affordable housing. Mr. Jaffe also trains negotiators and mediators and teaches at the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers.
