David is a New Jersey native and Ph.D. candidate in ABD status. His dissertation, on a novel domestic cost leaders pay for violating their supporters' expectations, is a book-length project, which has been introduced in part in a recent post in the Washington Post's Monkey Cage blog. David has had extensive quantitative methods training at the University of Michigan's ICPSR summer program, as well as experience teaching political science methods, along with several other courses. His interests and coursework/teaching also include international political economy, political theory, and forecasting.
