Anja Vojvodic is a PhD Candidate in Political Science. Her major is Women and Politics and her minor is Comparative Politics. Her dissertation, entitled “Lingering Legacies and Emerging Progress: Explaining Gender Quota Adoption in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE)”, explores the complex dimensions of gender quota adoption (and non-adoption) in Eastern Europe. Her main areas of focus are gender quotas, women’s movements and feminism. Anja also has a Masters’ Degree from New York University (attained in 2011) in Global Affairs. She also teaches courses on topics such as writing and women's movements in the English and Political Science departments at Rutgers. In her spare time, she enjoys watching and playing sports, especially tennis.
