Course Description:

Students will examine the formation, placeand developmentof law in the democratic state. Focus is placed on the nature of law, its role in regulating behaviorfor societal,civil and political purposes, legal reasoning, rival legal theories, the conflict between positivism and the theory of law, punishment and responsibility. The course will also examine the evolution and various standards of justice with the connection between rights, privileges and responsibilities in society.
